Redd’s owners Doug Palsi, Dan Palsi and Frank Pinto have been friends since grammar school and, combined, have more than 75 years of experience in the hospitality industry. The Palsi Family has successfully operated Redd’s Restaurant & Biergarten in the Meadowlands (near Met Life Stadium) since 2002 and selected Newark as their second location (which opened in 2016) due to the growing number of residents and employees in the neighborhood, and as a result of customers who encouraged them to follow the New Jersey Devils to Newark. 

In 2021 Doug, Dan and Frank partnered with their friends; Keith Rado & John Landy whose family has successfully owned and operated Fiesta Catering in Wood Ridge for more than 60 years. The Rado and Landy families have developed The Fiesta into one of the tri-state areas’ most sought after event venues by flawlessly blending classical elegance with world class cuisine and superb service. The Fiesta has built a long and consistent reputation by providing its diverse clientele with attention to even the smallest level of details. Their guests are treated to a genuinely warm smile upon arriving at The Fiesta which is followed up by truly delightful and distinctive cuisine.

Since all five business partners have the same philosophy regarding hospitality, customer service and with life-long roots in Southern Bergen County, NJ towns; it was a natural for them to collectively purchase Taos in East Rutherford and develop a new and innovative concept for a space that has “great bones and history”. Many long-term residents will remember when this space was successfully operated as The Raven Lounge back in the day for so many years.
